As the world around us experiences turmoil, the community at Stanton Communications impresses me with its warmth, kindness, perseverance, and dedication to our clients and our world. This hardworking and compassionate team raises the bar on client performance every day while supporting each other and cheering everyone’s successes – a testament to the culture and values we live at Stanton Communications.
As I reflect on what I am most thankful for during this season of gratitude, the community of Stanton rises to the top. In this spirit, I asked our team members what they are thankful for this year; here are a few of their responses:
“I am grateful that the world is opening up and travel is again possible. This year has taken me to Croatia, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Iceland, and Western Canada. Exposure to different cultures and experiences is not only educational, but it is also inspiring. The more I do it, the more I understand how stepping away from my own four walls, my family and my colleagues makes me a better person, parent and leader. It is an immense privilege to see the world and to have a support system personally and professionally that makes it possible.”
— Lori Russo, President
“This year, I’m grateful for our connections, and the increased flexibility again in how we make them. The ways the pandemic forced us to come up with new ways to be together digitally has been amazing, but it’s even more amazing to be able to be in person with our team again when the occasion calls for it! There is no time like the holidays for coming together, and it’s been so incredible to (safely and carefully) share moments in person again with team members, clients, and loved ones.”
— Emily Wenstrom, Vice President
“This year, others have bestowed transformative wisdom upon me that has helped me grow and cope with the divisiveness of our world. They have taught me what it means to fail successfully and that, rather than starting anything from square one, we start from experience. I am grateful for those who have taught me that together we can overcome nearly all obstacles.”
— Rebekah Eskandani, Account Manager
“This year, I am thankful to all my colleagues at Stanton Communications for being so welcoming and supportive of me when I joined the team. I am also grateful to my parents for their love and encouragement throughout my transition from college into the professional PR world.”
— Sarah Kruhm, Account Coordinator
“When I consider what I am most grateful for, I realize I am very lucky, because it is difficult to identify even just a few amazing aspects of my life. Personally, I am grateful to be planning my wedding with my fiancé who I can’t wait to marry, and I am grateful for my family, including our new puppy, Pinot, who just joined our family this year.
Professionally, I am grateful to work with such a caring, compassionate, and selfless team of incredible professionals. The respect and support we all show for one another never ceases to amaze me and makes me truly excited to come to work each day.”
— Sarah Orzach, Account Manager
“I’m grateful for my health, family, and friends. However, I wouldn’t be where I am today without the support of my generous colleagues, whom I’m lucky to call family. I’m grateful for the lessons I’ve learned, professional growth opportunities, and, most important, the supportive and collaborative work environment at Stanton.”
— Julia Telford, Account Executive
“I am grateful for friends, family, and good health. And my morning coffee!”
— Olivia Melvin, Assistant Account Executive
“I have a lot to be grateful for. But most important, I am grateful for life. In a year of loss, I’ve gained a better understanding of appreciating being in the present moment. I’ve grown to cherish my relational bonds while still finding time for myself. When you have gratitude for the life you live, you’re pushed to realize what you have in front of you. I am grateful for everything.”
— Elisabeth Bellevue, Assistant Account Executive
“I am grateful for every minute we get to enjoy and for the meaningfulness it brings. I am grateful for my lovely family, for our health, and that I am able to see my kids grow and be here for them. We don’t know what tomorrow will bring, so I’m happy about today. I’m lucky and grateful to be surrounded also in my professional life by sensational people, nice and supportive, who appreciate the same values as me.”
— Dana S Cotanis, Bookkeeper and Administrator
“I am grateful for my loving husband and dear family. I am mindful of how temporary life can be so I cherish every moment.”
— Donna Leinwand Leger, Senior Consultant
“I am thankful for my friends, family, health, and the opportunity to work with this team of extraordinary professionals!”
— Cara Greene, Senior Advisor
“I am grateful for the sacrifices of my mother and ancestors that enabled my education and career choices, ultimately landing me at Stanton Communications. I am grateful for a fulfilling career, my friends and family, and broader networks of support and community that are my springboard and soft place to land, and for all the kids that make up our crazy bunch (Noah, Nala, Kai, Andrea, Zaria, Layla, Journey and Anna)! Finally, I am grateful for daily reminders (like this exercise!) to live in a space of gratitude while following guiding principles of compassion an empathy.”
— Eliza Levy, Senior Account Manager
