Stanton Communications today announced that Angela Ruggiero is joining the firm as Director of Strategic Communication. A 20+ year veteran of corporate and agency PR, Ruggiero most recently served as Director of Corporate Media Relations, North America, at Henry Schein, Inc., the world’s largest provider of health care products and services to office-based dental and medical practitioners.
In her new role with Stanton, Ruggiero will develop and advance client strategies in the areas of thought leadership, brand reputation, and media engagement. She will engage in business and talent development, AI implementation, and the delivery of consequential gains for clients.
“The operative phrase for today’s announcement should be ‘rejoins’ since Angela was a key professional in our New York office at an early stage in her career,” said Peter Stanton, CEO of Stanton Communications. “A professional of Angela’s depth and experience can opt to work anywhere. Such talent is in high demand. We are delighted she chose to rejoin us, as we expect she will immediately strengthen our team and client service capabilities.”
“I’m thrilled to rejoin Stanton and collaborate with seasoned professionals who recognize communication as an indispensable strategic discipline,” Ruggiero said. “The firm’s versatility and independence provide an energizing space where creativity and bold thinking are fostered and encouraged. I look forward to working alongside our clients to address their unique goals and create custom campaigns that deliver meaningful and measurable results.”
In addition to Ruggiero’s media relations portfolio, she co-chaired the Marketing & Communications Committee for an Employee Resource Group demonstrating her commitment to inclusive leadership and cultivating an empathetic culture – a powerful demonstration of Stanton’s ‘people-first’ mindset.
While previously at Stanton, Ruggiero was an Account Manager in the firm’s New York office supporting media relations and event programs for initiatives including the visit to New York of Pope Benedict XVI, the grand opening of the Greenbrier Resort’s Casino Club, and Silver Anvil Award-winning consumer electronics campaigns, including celebrity-endorsed launch parties for new product devices, such as the first 4G and dual-screen smartphones in the U.S.
